At The List (“The List,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you visit our website, subscribe to our editorial content, apply for or engage with our matching services, or otherwise interact with our platforms and services (collectively, the “Services”).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, and your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Before we open your email app to contact a provider, we may ask for your first name, email address, what brings you to The List, and an optional ZIP code. We use this to understand how The List is used and to improve it. We record that you chose to email a provider, but your message goes directly from you to the provider - we never see, send, or store its contents. We do not share your individual details with providers; any reporting we share with them uses combined, anonymous totals. To ask us to delete this information, contact us.
If you save a provider to My List, we ask for your first name and email address and send you a sign-in link. We store the providers you save and link your saves and provider clicks (such as visiting a provider's website or emailing them) to your account so we can show you your List and understand how The List is used. Your saved providers are only visible to you after you sign in through the link. The emails we send for My List are account emails only - saving a provider does not sign you up for The List Edit or any marketing emails, which are a separate choice. Providers never see your individual saves or activity; any reporting we share with them uses combined, anonymous totals. You can delete your List and account at any time from the My List page, or by contacting us. Accounts that are never confirmed are deleted after 90 days.

Where consent is required (including the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland), advertising and analytics cookies are switched off until you accept them in our cookie notice. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, and your updated choice applies immediately. Elsewhere, these tools run by default and you may opt out through your browser settings or Google’s own opt-out tools.
Our Services are intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
