Fueling for Energy, Performance & Longevity

Hosted by Truly Fueled Nutrition Counseling (in partnership with FitLAB Pilates)

Join us at FitLAB Pilates for a practical, evidence-based discussion on how to fuel your active lifestyle with confidence. We'll cover the nutrition habits that matter most for energy, strength, recovery, and long-term health, including how your needs change with age. We'll get to the bottom of confusing nutrition topics, like whether seed oils are "bad" for you and how to actually fuel a healthy metabolism. We'll also cover specific strategies for fueling around your Pilates practice, and talk honestly about body composition and weight-related goals. Designed for active adults of all experience levels, this session will leave you with realistic strategies you can apply right away to feel your best and enjoy your food. KC Stockmon, MS, RD, LDN is a registered dietitian and the founder of Truly Fueled Nutrition Counseling. She helps active adults and athletes fuel their bodies with confidence so they can feel stronger, recover better, and enjoy movement for years to come. KC specializes in sports nutrition, eating disorders, gastrointestinal health, and Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (REDs), but believes the foundations of good nutrition should be accessible to everyone; not just elite athletes. In this discussion, she'll cut through common nutrition myths and share practical, evidence-based strategies to help you build balanced meals, support strength and recovery, improve energy, and make food choices that fit your real life.

Reiki I for Mothers

Hosted by Alyssa Johnson Wellness

Are you a mother interested in learning the art of Reiki to add to your personal and parenting tool box? This class is for you! Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is an ancient, gentle, hands-on healing art that helps you feel better and heal better. You can use Reiki to facilitate deep relaxation, relieve pain, and promote healing and personal growth. Reiki stimulates your body’s innate healing resources, encouraging a return to wellness. Reiki means Universal Life Force – the healing energy of the universe. The attunement ceremony empowers you to transmit Reiki energy through your hands. Once attuned, you have this ability for life and can use this healing energy to promote balance and harmony on all levels of your being and share this gift with others through gentle touch. In Reiki I, you will learn the history of Reiki, benefits of Reiki, and how to perform Reiki. You will receive an attunement to practice Reiki on yourself self and others. We will focus on Reiki as a form of self-care for mothers, as a tool to coregulate over nervous system to calm ourself and our children and as a way to re-find ourselves as we may have lost our identity through motherhood. As mothers (particularly of young children), we already have our “hands on” so often (snuggling a newborn, rubbing our young child’s back when they are ill, holding hands in a parking lot), imagine the possibilities if those hands were sharing the healing energy of Reiki! Included in the class cost is a Reiki I Manual, Reiki-infused token and Reiki I Certificate of Completion. Upon completion of Reiki I, you will be eligible to continue your learning with Reiki II.
