Resilient Roots Wellness
ABOUT HER
Hi! I’m Shannon! I’m a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and the heart behind Resilient Roots Wellness.
I’ve worked in mental health for over a decade, and while psychiatry is the foundation of my practice, I have a huge passion for women’s mental health, especially the connection between our mental health, hormones, sleep, stress, nutrition, and everything else happening in our bodies and our lives.
I work with women through so many different seasons from anxiety, depression, and ADHD to pregnancy and postpartum, PMDD, perimenopause, hormone changes, and all of the messy life stuff in between. I also offer hormone replacement therapy and medical weight management.
I started Resilient Roots because I wanted to create the kind of practice I believed patients deserved. A place where appointments don’t feel rushed, where you’re actually listened to, and where we look at the whole picture instead of treating one symptom in isolation.
Outside of work, I’m a wife and mom to two girls, so I’m navigating the chaos of motherhood, work, family, and everything in between right alongside so many of you.
I really love getting to know the women I work with and helping them feel more like themselves again. 🤍
The Founder's Note
"Before I even met Shannon, I knew I was going to love her. I hadn’t come across a psychiatric NP incorporating bloodwork, hormone testing and whole-body health into care before, and I love everything about her approach. She’s a mom, she gets it, and she genuinely wants psychiatric care to be better, more thoughtful and more human."
- Olivia, Founder of The List
You’ll love working with me if you want a provider who actually listens, asks questions, and looks beyond just your symptoms.
My appointments are meant to feel like a conversation, not a clinical interrogation. You can show up as yourself, ask the questions you think are weird, tell me what’s actually going on, and never worry about saying the “right” thing.
I’m big on collaboration. I want you to understand your options, feel comfortable asking questions, and have a say in your treatment plan. Medication can be incredibly helpful, but I also believe hormones, sleep, nutrition, stress, relationships, movement, and what’s happening in your everyday life matter too.
If you want personalized, evidence-based care without the stuffy clinical feel, we’ll probably get along pretty well.
