Kathryn Hargreaves

Wholesome Roots

Kathryn Hargreaves - Occupational Therapist, Virtual/Anywhere

ABOUT HER

Wholesome Roots LLC was born from both lived and professional experience — and from recognizing the gap in care that so many people with chronic illness face. As a teenager, Kathryn spent two years searching for answers before being diagnosed with Lyme disease and Bartonella. That diagnosis was only the beginning of a journey marked by setbacks, resilience, and over a decade of learning what true healing requires.

Today, as an occupational therapist, she helps fellow chronic illness warriors reclaim their lives through a holistic, nervous system-informed approach to movement and recovery. She understands that healing is rarely linear, and that no two bodies are the same. Every plan is individualized to your symptoms, goals, and capacity — because your care should adapt to you, not the other way around.

The Founder's Note

"When I met Kathryn, I knew her work filled an important gap. As the first occupational therapist I've met specializing in Lyme disease and chronic illness, she's helping women and young adults navigate the realities of chronic illness with compassion, nervous system support, and practical tools. What makes her work even more meaningful is that she's lived this journey herself....and now she's using that experience to help others find their way forward."

You want a provider who understands illness, but doesn't define care by it. There is no one-size-fits-all approach here.

now for the good stuff...

Favorite way to unwind
Move my body — walk, run, bike, lift — around our beautiful, middle of nowhere home, or be cozy on the couch with a treat. Whatever my body may be telling me that day.
Morning routine must-haves
My routine is always started by my Bengal cat, Max, quite literally trying to cuddle me so hard he lays on my face. I love a slow, intentional morning on our porch with some sunshine and listening to nature.
Current obsession
Always constantly changing with the seasons (:
Go-to movie or show
In our home, New Girl is a constant, but I also love true crime podcasts — shout out to Morbid! If I am on a long drive or run, it is likely that I'll be catching up on their latest episodes.
