ABOUT HER

Made of Gold Lactation has been a vision close to my heart for many years. My passion for supporting mothers comes not only from my professional experience, but from my own journey through motherhood and the challenges I faced along the way.

After experiencing postpartum depression, triple feeding, milk intolerance, mastitis, breastfeeding grief, and a deep sense of feeling unsupported, I learned firsthand how isolating and overwhelming the postpartum experience can be. Later, after navigating medical trauma, I experienced the impact trauma can have on the body, mind, and nervous system — including losing memories of significant portions of my young children's early years. Those experiences shaped the way I see motherhood, healing, and the importance of compassionate support.

I understand that trauma affects everyone differently, and I believe that every mother deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported without judgment. Made of Gold Lactation was created from the belief that mothers should not have to navigate feeding challenges, postpartum struggles, or the transition into motherhood alone. I provide evidence-based lactation care with a trauma-informed approach, honoring each mother's story, goals, and unique journey.

Favorite way to unwind
A good book, a peaceful walk with her Irish Setter, and DeAndre's meditations on FITON. Seriously — if you haven't heard this man's voice, go listen. It's next-level calming.
Morning routine must-haves
Chocolate milk — or a handful of chocolate chips on the way out the door. Dog and cat snuggles, plus the inevitable soundtrack of kids yelling 'Mom! Where is my homework?' approximately 47 seconds after sitting down.
Current obsession
TikTok roller coaster getting-stuck videos. The algorithm decided this is her thing and honestly? She's leaning in. The calm panic, the dramatic music, people deciding if they should laugh or cry while hanging upside down — it's oddly fascinating.
Go-to movie or show
Hallmark holiday movies. Any time, any place. Cozy vibes, predictable happy endings, and proof that all problems can be solved with hot cocoa and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree.
