ABOUT HER

I'm a registered dietitian, lifelong athlete, current marathoner, and most importantly I am a mom to a busy toddler. I founded Truly Fueled Nutrition Counseling because I believe nutrition should support your life, not make it more complicated.

I became a dietitian because I was fascinated by the fact that what and how we eat can influence our health and even change the course of disease long-term. After years of working in clinical nutrition in pediatric hospitals and adult outpatient clinics, I recognized that there was a serious gap in the type of support people were getting compared to what was increasingly needed. Traditional nutrition education focuses on weight as a measure of health, and emphasizes what we should be eating LESS of rather than what might be missing in our diets. I found that when people focused on how they feel rather than the number on the scale, and on enjoying their food rather than fearing it, their health, athletic performance, and lives got so much better. I started Truly Fueled Nutrition to help athletes and active people of any age any level learn to confidently fuel their unique bodies for performance, health, and long-term wellbeing.

After 10 years of studying, living and working in Boston, I recently moved back to my hometown in coastal southeastern Connecticut to raise my family. When I'm not working with clients, you'll usually find me out for a run, experimenting with new recipes, or spending time with my friends and family!

Trying out new restaurants, coffee shops and travel destinations!
Morning routine must-haves
COFFEE! Always. I also never start the day or exercise without fueling up first! So breakfast, or at least a snack before my workout, is an absolute must. I'm currently obsessed with using an ice roller on my face in the morning - best way to feel refreshed and ready to tackle the day!
Current obsession
I just bought an espresso machine for my office, so I'm pretty obsessed with learning how to make the perfect Americano right now!
Go-to movie or show
Schitt's Creek, hands-down!
