Sarah Kalny LMHC LLC

Sarah Kalny - Therapist, MA & NY

ABOUT HER

Hi! I'm Sarah! I'm a millennial therapist who wants to be the therapist that I wish I could have had! I'm a recovering people-pleaser and love working with women who consider themselves high achieving, perfectionist, and/or people-pleasers. I use a lot of humor and I love keeping things real, you'll get very little clinical language from me. I love connecting with my clients on a human level and helping to figure out what their needs are and how to get them met in a realistic, approachable way.

The Founder's Note

"When I met with Sarah, I was probably nodding along to everything she was saying. She specializes in millennials (hi, me) and really understands the burnout, perfectionism and people-pleasing tendencies so many of us are trying to unlearn. She’s incredibly down-to-earth, relatable and just truly gets it."

You enjoy a more relaxed, conversational approach to therapy with laugher and sometimes swearing, with an openness to exploring your inner emotional world.

now for the good stuff...

Favorite way to unwind
Reading or writing, sometimes catching up on TV shows (currently it's Ted Lasso and Widow's Bay!), and spending time with my partner and dog
Morning routine must-haves
I'm not a morning person usually but I do love a routine, so I usually attend an 8am gym class, make coffee when I get home, have breakfast, and read or write a little with my dog before getting ready to start my day.
Current obsession
Like a lot of people, I'm into Heated Rivalry (and have been since 2023) but I've also been enjoying getting back into Ted Lasso!
Favorite movie, show or podcast
One of my favorite shows to rewatch is Kindred Spirits, a paranormal investigation show that used to be on the Travel Channel, and my favorite movie is Pride & Prejudice from 2005!
